Timekeeping: Bus was late on arrival at Quuenstown - 18-30 minutes. Seemed a bit disorganised, in comparison to Intercape (which I prefer). Stops which were to be for 10 minutes constantly lasted over 15-20 minutes, with the driver/Co-driver sometimes over extended the time.
Cleanliness: The bus seemed not to be too well kept, dirty in need of a deep clean. The toilet was without a light, which meant people had to pee with their flash light and the pee smell!!! Not sure if the water didn't work or whether something else was wrong.
Driver friendliness: While the one driver communicated well to a certain degree, his attitude left much to be desired. While I understand that the bulk of the passengers were speaking IsiXhosa as their native tongue, I sometimes did not know what to expect next.
Amenities: NO overhead aircon. No charger outlets. NO overhead lighting. Overhead loading bay need fixing. Poorly maintained curtains, improperly fixed with a rope.
Overall: I arrived safely at my journey, albeit much later than the advertised time. I will probably not make use of eagleliner/intercity express again if I had the choice.
